Kwadaso: The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency, Professor Kingsley Nyarko, has openly criticized the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC government, labeling its record as poor, particularly in terms of power supply management.
According to Ghana Web, Professor Nyarko attributed the recent power outages, commonly referred to as 'Dumsor', to the governance of the previous Mahama administration. He argued that these outages confirm what he describes as a 'bad record' in power management by the NDC government.
Professor Nyarko pointed out that while the NPP administration had ensured stable power, the current government has seen a return of outages. He remarked that during President Mahama's previous tenure, he gained notoriety for continuous power outages, an issue that persists under his current leadership, which he believes highlights a significant level of incompetency.
The MP extended his criticism to the broader management of various sectors under the NDC government, expressing disappointment in the state of affairs. He urged the government to take immediate action to resolve the ongoing power crisis and address economic challenges, including the high cost of living and reduced cocoa prices affecting farmers.
Professor Nyarko's comments were made during Ghana's 69th Independence Day celebrations, where he lamented that despite the nation's progress since independence, the NDC government's performance is hindering the country's advancement.
