According to Ghana Web, Frempong is among 110 NPP parliamentary candidates who have publicly declared their confidence in Dr. Bawumia, encouraging delegates to rally behind him when the party goes to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect its next presidential candidate. In a viral video that has sparked wide conversation, Frempong outlines what he describes as compelling and undeniable reasons for why Dr. Bawumia remains the NPP's strongest choice.
Frempong highlights Bawumia's proven track record, his impact as Vice President, his humility, emotional intelligence, and what he describes as a clear vision for Ghana. To underline that vision, Frempong recalls one of the defining moments of Ghana's recent economic history. At the height of the global economic crisis and amid a rapidly depreciating cedi, Dr. Bawumia proposed the policy of the Bank of Ghana buying and accumulating gold reserves, aimed at stabilizing the economy and restoring confidence.
