Kumasi: Legendary African music icon and Ghana's esteemed musician, Kojo Antwi, has announced plans to launch his forthcoming album at the Manhyia Palace in honor of Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Although the specific date for the album release remains undisclosed, Kojo Antwi has assured the Asantehene that the launch will take place in his presence.
According to Ghana Web, the music maestro made this announcement during a courtesy visit to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Awukudae Festival. The visit was also an opportunity for Kojo Antwi to present copies of his memoir, "Mr Music Man: The Journey," to both the Asantehene and Asantehemaa. The musician's visit brought together two significant cultural figures in Ghana, emphasizing the connection between traditional institutions and the creative arts community.
During the visit, Kojo Antwi presented 300 copies of his memoir to Otumfuo and 50 copies to Asantehemaa HRH Queen Nana Yaa Akyaa II.
