Atwima koforidua: Renowned road contractor Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi, have embarked on a project to renovate a storm-damaged three-classroom block at the Atwima Koforidua Cluster of Schools in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District. The renovation is being carried out by the couple through the Kofi Job Foundation in memory of Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi's late father, Teddy Moses Okyere.
According to Ghana Web, the decision to renovate the school block followed the one-week observation of Teddy Moses Okyere, held at the school's park. Kofi Gyebi Job, upon attending the event, noticed the dilapidated state of the school block and decided to take action. The Kofi Job Foundation has since collaborated with community leaders and school authorities to commence the renovation work.
The school's Headmaster, Alexander Ansah Amakye, informed OTEC News reporter Kwame Agyenim that approximately 100 students were displaced after a storm severely damaged the roof of the three-classroom block. "We have gone through very difficult times following the disaster. The situation has already been reported to all the appropriate authorities," Amakye stated. He expressed gratitude towards Kofi Gyebi Job and Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi for addressing the issue.
Family spokesperson Asante Baffour Awuah commended Kofi Gyebi Job for his swift intervention. Awuah remarked that Kofi Gyebi Job's visit to inspect the funeral grounds led to his decision to assist the school. The family expressed their gratitude for the honor bestowed upon them and committed to overseeing the project's timely completion.
