Kofi Adams Unable to Trace Influencer Over Missing $610,000 World Cup Funds

Siena:Speaking on TV3's Hot Issues, Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams stated that authorities are unable to trace an influencer allegedly tied to $610,000 in funds related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup arrangements. Adams claimed that individuals associated with Tribe Culture took the money and are now unreachable.

According to Ghana Web, Adams also alleged that the influencer supplied information to Vincent Ekow Assafuah, the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, amid scrutiny over the handling of visa arrangements by the National Sports Authority (NSA), the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), and Tribe Culture Fest. Adams distanced his ministry from allegations that money was paid for securing places on visa processing lists, stating that the ministry was unaware of any payments.

He further revealed that the US Embassy had introduced Tribe Culture Fest to the NSA and GTA prior to the planned World Cup-related activities.

In response, Tribe Culture Fest CEO Nana Boateng Gyimah denied any illegal receipt of funds, asserting that the organization's agreement was with the NSA and GTA. Gyimah has challenged Adams to present evidence for the allegations.
