Wenchi: The Kingdom Miracle Church of Jesus International in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region has presented sanitation items and personal protection equipment (PPEs) valued at GHS12,000 to the Wenchi Municipal Assembly.
According to Ghana News Agency, the donation included 10 waste bins, 10 pieces of rakes, long brooms, and 12 pairs of hand gloves. During a brief presentation ceremony in Wenchi, Bishop George Tannoh, the Head Pastor of the Church, explained that the items were intended to support the Assembly's efforts towards proper waste management and improved sanitation.
The donation is part of the church's broader community development initiative. Bishop Tannoh commended the Assembly's dedication to maintaining cleanliness in the municipality and pledged the church's ongoing support for the monthly National Sanitation Day cleanup exercises. He also urged the public to refrain from littering and indiscriminate waste disposal, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship and calling for attitudinal change to combat plastic pollution and prevent flooding.
Miss Gloria Opoku Gyamfi, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, expressed her appreciation to the Church for their donation, assuring that the items would be utilized effectively. She described the contribution as timely and motivating, reinforcing the Assembly's commitment to improved sanitation, effective waste management, and environmental sustainability.
