Accra: Legendary Hiplife artiste Tinny has debunked the allegation from Hiplife artiste King Jerry that he caused the break-up between the singer and his manager.
According to Ghana Web, Tinny revealed during an interview on Hot FM's Hot Weekend Jam, hosted by DJ Lord Dash, that King Jerry was once someone he mentored and supported. However, he was taken aback when the younger artist began to disrespect his manager.
The 'Makola Kwakwe' rapper stated that he was contacted by King Jerry and his manager to help them with industry connections, given his long tenure in the business. Tinny explained that he was able to fix an interview for King Jerry on Nana Ama McBrown's show on Onua TV, among other gigs. The relationship soured when Tinny discovered King Jerry was allegedly 'sidelining' his own team.
Tinny revealed that the young artiste began booking and performing at shows behind his manager's back to keep the full profit. The legendary Hiplife artiste admitted to alerting the manager about these secret performances. He explained that he did so to ensure the manager didn't think he (Tinny) was part of the deception.
Sounding extremely disdainful, Tinny asked, 'Why would I sabotage someone like King Jerry?. He insulted his manager. He is very ungrateful.' He dismissed the sabotage claims as baseless, sounding visibly insulted by the idea that he would feel the need to undermine such an artiste.
