Ketu South Constituency Assembly Member Seeks NPP Youth Organiser Role

Ketu south: Mr Lord Dotsey Hammond Agbogedenu, also known as 'Chairman Lord,' the Assembly Member of Tackscorner Electoral Area, has announced his intention to run for the position of Ketu South Constituency Youth Organiser in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Agbogedenu expressed that this move would enable him to diligently serve the NPP in the constituency and position himself to campaign for the party to regain power in the 2028 general elections. He confirmed his readiness to file for nominations when the process opens, noting that many party faithful in the area have been encouraging him to pursue the youth organiser position.

Mr Agbogedenu stated that many party members believe he is well-suited for the role and are urging him to contest. He emphasized that serving the NPP and transforming Ketu South Municipality would be a significant achievement, promising to work beyond expectations to bring the party back to power for more development in the area and across Ghana.

He highlighted that his involvement in the party's activities and mentorship under experienced leaders have prepared him for the role, equipping him with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead and mobilize the youth effectively. He has consistently contributed to preserving the party's political fortunes in Ketu South.

Mr Agbogedenu believes his interpersonal skills and active participation in youth programmes make him an ideal candidate to energize the party's grassroots support. He emphasized the importance of attracting floating voters and pledged that engaging the youth would be crucial to the NPP's long-term electoral success.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the NPP, he promised unwavering dedication to the party's mission and values if elected. Mr Agbogedenu has previously served in the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) at the University of Education, Winneba, and is currently the party's coordinator for the Tackscorner Electoral Area.

The contest for constituency executive positions is expected to intensify in the coming months, with several aspirants likely to join the race as the NPP prepares to reorganize ahead of the next national election.
