Tema east: Newly elected Constituency Treasurer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tema East, Elliot Kabutey Tei, has pledged to build an accountable, well-resourced, and election-ready constituency front to secure victory for the party in upcoming elections.
According to Ghana Web, in an official statement released following his electoral victory, the businessman expressed gratitude to delegates, party elders, polling station executives, and grassroots members across Tema East for placing their confidence in his leadership. Describing the internal party election as a demonstration of internal democracy, Tei emphasized that the contest had no losers, declaring that "the New Patriotic Party in Tema East is the sole winner."
Outlining his vision for the office, the newly elected Treasurer described his role as the financial heartbeat and operational engine of the party's campaign machinery in Tema East. He committed his tenure to three core operational pillars: transparency and financial integrity, grassroots support, and sustainable fundraising.
Tei plans to implement strict financial controls and open reporting to ensure all raised funds are accounted for and directed strictly toward party expansion and election-day readiness. Additionally, he aims to streamline resource distribution so that operational funds reach electoral area coordinators and polling station executives directly. By building local funding initiatives and engaging business stakeholders, party patrons, and supporters, Tei seeks to maintain a consistent operational war chest.
Highlighting Tema East's strategic importance as a crucial barometer in national elections, Tei called for immediate unity across all electoral areas, from Tema Newtown to the Harbour enclave. "Internal contests are behind us. Our shared focus now turns entirely toward victory for the Elephant," Tei stated. "Reclaiming and solidifying our dominance in Tema East demands total unity, strategic discipline, and relentless work at every electoral area."
He urged all party faithful to put aside campaign dynamics and work shoulder-to-shoulder to secure a decisive mandate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party.
