KAAF University Matriculates 1,750 Fresh Students for 2025/2026 Academic Year

Fetteh kakraba: The KAAF University has successfully matriculated 1,750 new students, comprising 745 males, who have been admitted to pursue a range of programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. The matriculation ceremony was conducted at the university's premises in Fetteh Kakraba, located in the Central Region. According to Ghana News Agency, the matriculants were chosen from approximately 2,500 applicants seeking admission into both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university. Dr Francis Acheampong, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, officiated the ceremony, which is a statutory process conferring membership on the new students. This follows their fulfillment of academic requirements and the taking of the matriculation oath. The oath binds students to adhere to the university's rules and regulations as stipulated in the student handbook and other authorized documents, ensuring appropriate conduct throughout their academic journey. Dr Acheampong highlighted the university's ongoing co mmitment to upgrading its facilities, support systems, and services. The aim is to provide top-quality human resources that enhance teaching and learning geared towards economic and social development. He emphasized the university's focus on carefully structured, industry-driven programmes, positioning KAAF University as an ideal choice for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields such as engineering, health sciences, business, and law, with a significant emphasis on technical and vocational training. The university offers key programmes including BSc Nursing, BSc Midwifery, BSc Public Health Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, BSc Accounting, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Additional offerings include Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BSc Computer Science, and various graduate and professional programmes such as MBA specialisations, MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery, MSc in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Computer Science, and LLM in Corpo rate and Commercial Law. Dr Acheampong reaffirmed the university's dedication to delivering world-class education that equips students for both local and international job markets. He urged the new students to approach their studies with seriousness, uphold ethical standards, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to excel in their chosen fields. 'KAAF gives practical training with programmes that meet what industries need and not just the theory,' he added. In an interview, Dr Linda Anane Donkor, Registrar of the University, disclosed plans to introduce PhD programmes in Nursing and Midwifery in the near future. She counseled students to remain focused, avoid distractions, and steer clear of habits that might hinder their academic progress.
