Justin Kodua and Henry Quartey Praise Orderliness in NPP Presidential Primary

Accra: Mr Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Mr Henry Quartey, former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, have commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the party's presidential primary. Mr Kodua, during a visit to the Ayawaso Central Constituency Presby Park to observe the exercise, said the NPP had a long-standing tradition of internal democracy, having successfully conducted such competitive exercises since 1992.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Kodua expressed pride in the orderliness of the process, stating it as a hallmark of the NPP. He emphasized that the party's victory in the 2028 general election would require collective effort and urged members to work together. Mr Kodua highlighted the commitment of all five aspirants to support the eventual winner, describing it as a demonstration of true patriotism.

Mr Kodua also praised the Electoral Commission, the Ghana Police Service, and the delegates for their professionalism and discipline throughout the exercise. Mr Quartey shared confidence in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's potential victory and reassured that the NPP would unite behind the winner for the 2028 elections. He noted the calm voting environment and encouraged delegates to vote in large numbers, emphasizing post-primary unity and mobilization efforts.
