Joint77 Alleges Shatta Wale Felt Threatened by Militants’ Rise

Accra:Joint77, a former member of the Shatta Movement, has alleged that Shatta Wale halted the release of songs by the Militants due to perceived threats to his dominance as their popularity grew.

According to Ghana Web, Joint77 claimed in an interview on Adom TV that the rising fame of the group led to increased fan demand for more music. Despite recording several tracks, these songs were never released. Joint77 expressed disappointment that Shatta Wale did not publicly support the group or encourage them to release more music as their following expanded.

He further stated that the reluctance to release their music was seen as a sign that Shatta Wale felt threatened by their success. Joint77 refrained from commenting in detail on Shatta Wale's past accusations that the Militants became lazy after gaining fame, citing a desire to avoid reigniting controversy.

Joint77 was part of the Militants, a group formed under Shatta Wale, along with Captan and Addi Self. The group eventually disbanded after a fallout with the dancehall artist.
