Accra:John Boadu The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has asserted that he has played a role in the emergence of more than 1,000 Members of Parliament within the party.
According to Ghana Web, Boadu emphasized that his motivations were not driven by personal benefits but by his aspiration to see the NPP succeed in elections. He remarked that despite his contributions, he had not received any personal gains, highlighting that he had never even sat in any of the MPs' cars. This statement was made during an interview on Lawson TV.
Boadu noted that while he had assisted many MPs politically, some had subsequently turned against him. He mentioned that these individuals sometimes voted against him, perceiving him as too powerful. His primary satisfaction, he stated, came from witnessing the NPP's electoral victories.
Additionally, Boadu refuted allegations of imposing parliamentary candidates on the party. He claimed that some MPs, who were described as imposed, had organized opposition against him. As National Chairman, his focus was on revitalizing the party's winning strategies and strengthening its support base.
