Baku:Nkroful Mr. John Afful, a candidate for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency Chairmanship in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) elections, has urged delegates to support his bid, promising a new leadership style aimed at transforming the constituency's economic landscape.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Afful outlined three key policies during an interview. These policies include the creation of a job hub, referred to as a job secretariat, to ensure that all branch executives and members benefit from their commitment to the party. He emphasized that the final year before general elections would focus on securing beneficial employment for party members.
Mr. Afful also highlighted the importance of welfare within the party, aligning with the NDC's social democratic values. He assured that the welfare of vulnerable and less privileged individuals would not be neglected.
On the subject of party unity, Mr. Afful stressed that the NDC’s motto of unity is crucial for building a strong, populist front in Weija-Gbawe. He warned that a lack of unity and cohesion could lead to the collapse of any institution. He plans to enhance party structures to better serve grassroots interests and welfare.
