Invest in Knowledge to Improve Progress in Future: Anloga GES to Stakeholders

Anloga: The Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Anloga District of the Volta Region has emphasised the importance of investing in education, describing it as a key driver of progress in the future. The Anloga GES further believed that investing in education could improve the teaching and learning ability of individuals, especially young students, to shape their future for better prospects.

According to Ghana News Agency, Togbi Doda III (Appoh John), the Chief Inspector of Schools in the Anloga District, during the commissioning ceremony of a newly renovated library at Anloga EP Basic School, urged institutions, individuals, and groups to help shape young ones through proper educational investments. "This library renovation and stocking, which is being championed by the Anloga Development Association of North America (ADANA) and the Council of Ewe Associations of North America (CEANA), aims to enhance academic performance and promote a reading culture among students," he said.

Togbi Doda highlighted that the facility would serve as a hub for knowledge to nurture curiosity and intellectual growth among young people. He stated that the library is expected to support teaching and learning in Anloga schools and to provide students with access to information, which would also encourage independent learning. He appealed to the community to take collective ownership of the facility to ensure its maintenance and protection for future generations.

The commissioning of the library marks a significant milestone in the district's educational development and demonstrates the impact of united efforts from citizens at home and abroad. ADANA and CEANA's commitment to education in Anloga is commendable, and their investment is expected to yield positive outcomes for the community. Togbi Doda encouraged teachers and library staff to guide students in making effective use of the facility as part of academic development and appealed to the public to protect and maintain the library to ensure its sustainability for generations to come.

Togbi Doda said that investment in education would equip young people with knowledge, skills, and critical thinking to make informed decisions to achieve their goals, while educated youth could also contribute to a skilled workforce to drive innovation and economic development. He explained that investing in education could open doors to better job opportunities, help break cycles of poverty, engage communities to contribute positively to society, and encourage creativity, problem-solving, and innovation that would lead to breakthroughs in various fields and make informed health choices for healthier lives.

He appealed to all well-meaning individuals, philanthropists, and groups of companies to help invest in education through various means to create a better future for the next generation.
