Sanaa:Inaki Williams has expressed his intention to conclude his football career at Athletic Club. The 32-year-old forward, who joined the club's academy in 2012, has become a pivotal figure in the team's history, boasting 515 official appearances, ranking him fifth in the club's all-time list.
According to Ghana Web, Williams recently made clear in an interview with Radio Nacional de España that he does not envision playing for any other team. He stated, "Impossible. I'm retiring here; I don't want to wear any jersey other than Athletic's. I am very proud to have been part of this, and when the club decides I am no longer a key part of the team, I will step aside."
Having retired from international football with Ghana, Williams is now fully committed to his remaining time at Athletic. He also shared his vision of returning to San Mamés after retirement to watch games with his son and observe new legends emerge.
His contract with Athletic Club runs until 2028, providing him ample opportunity to enhance his impressive appearance record and to remain a potential one-club player.
