At the end of another weekend, Modernghana Sports with the help of partner SofaScore is bringing an update on the top 10 highest-rated Ghanaian Players Abroad.
Although the English Premier League did not see any action after matches were postponed due to the demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, several leagues abroad went ahead as planned.
A lot of Ghanaians in those unaffected leagues featured for their respective clubs and put up good performances that caught attention.
One of the players who received a lot of attention over the weekend is Black Stars poster boy Mohammed Kudus.
The talented attacking midfielder was the star for his Ajax side when he started just the second match of the ongoing 2022/23 football season.
In a game against Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie, Mohammed Kudus bagged a brace to lead Ajax to a 5-0 win.
Having finished the game with a rating of 8.1, he subsequently was named Man of the Match.
His fantastic performance has today earned him a place in this weekend’s edition of the top 10 highest-rated Ghanaian players abroad.
The only player with a better rating from the weekend is veteran forward Solomon Asante. The winger assisted three goals to lead Indy Eleven to cruise past Birmingham Legion 4-3 in the USL Championship.
He earned a score of 9.1 to emerge as the top-rated Ghanaian player from the weekend between September 9 to September 11.
Other players making the top 10 list include Jonathan Mensah, Denis Odoi, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Lawrence Agyekum.
Amongst the players on the list, only three have been included in the Ghana squad for the September friendly matches.
Later this month, Stephen Ambrosius, Denis Odoi, and Mohammed Kudus will be part of the Black Stars squad that takes on Brazil and Nicaragua in international friendly matches as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
