I know you will make Ghana better if you become president – Otumfuo to Bawumia

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, had nothing but praise for the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, when the vice president called on him as part of his 3-day tour of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The Asantehene praised the NPP flagbearer for his humility and urged him to continue to be humble.

He expressed his confidence in the ability of the vice president to run the country in the event that Ghanaians vote for him in the upcoming December 7, 2024, presidential elections.

“You have not changed; you are still humble. Continue being like this. Give respect to all Ghanaians and take your time to explain what you’re doing for all to hear.

“From what you are saying, if truly Ghanaians accept and you come to power, I know you would work for Ghana to become a better place. So, we are going to pray for you,” the Otumfuo said in Twi through his linguist.

The vice president was accompanied by leading figures of
the NPP, including the NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim; the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako; the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah; Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong; MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo; and MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.”
