According to ghana news agency:ember eighth cohort, while eight others were exempted from the ceremony because they had previously matriculated at the University. The event was attended by officers and instructors from SAS, including Commander Dennis Adjei, Commanding Officer; Naval Lieutenant Michael Quaynor, Second-in-Command; and Chief Petty Officer Class One Darkwah Godfred, Coxswain.
Management members, Deans, Heads of Department and senior administrative staff of HTU were also present. The fresh students were presented for matriculation by Professor Maxwell Azila-Gbettor, Dean of the HTU Business School. Dr. Michael Todoko, Acting Registrar, administered the matriculation oath, explaining that it is taken only once during a student's period of study at the University. He urged the students to strictly adhere to the University's rules and regulations, maintain high academic standards, and refrain from examination malpractice and other forms of misconduct.
Professor Ben Honyenuga, Vice-Chancellor of HTU, formally admitted the personnel and conferred on them the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of students of the University. He commended the students and underscored the importance of discipline as a key ingredient for academic success. Prof Honyenuga encouraged the students to draw on the values and discipline acquired through their service in the Ghana Armed Forces to enhance their academic pursuits. He urged them to remain committed to their studies and take advantage of the expertise, facilities, and opportunities available at the University to achieve their academic and professional goals.
