Anloga: The Ho Technical University has appointed Dr Michael Todoko as Acting Registrar following University Council's approval at a meeting.
According to Ghana News Agency, the appointment, which takes effect from Monday, March 30, was confirmed at the University Council's 120th Regular Meeting held on Friday, March 27, 2026. This decision aligns with the University's statutes to ensure administrative continuity following the completion of tenure by Dr Christopher Kwasi Amehoe.
Dr Todoko, prior to his appointment, served as Director of the Human Resource Directorate and has held several key administrative positions within the University. His roles included Senior Assistant Registrar and Head of the Vice-Chancellor's Secretariat, Assistant Registrar and Head of the Registrar's Secretariat, and Acting Head of Academic Affairs.
The University Council has expressed confidence in Dr Todoko's capacity to guide the institution's administration and has urged staff and students to support him. This announcement coincided with a send-off ceremony organized in honor of Dr Amehoe, who retired after more than a decade of service.
Dr Amehoe joined the institution in 2015, serving as the last Registrar of the Polytechnic and the first Registrar of the Technical University, overseeing its transition. Professor Ben Honyenuga, the Vice-Chancellor, praised him as 'an honest and trusted registrar' whose leadership enhanced institutional governance.
The ceremony, attended by dignitaries, featured prayers, presentations, and musical performances, marking both the end of an era and the beginning of a new phase under Dr Todoko's leadership.
