Hohoe: Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has commended schools, institutions, security agencies, and residents for observing the nationwide General Cleaning Exercise. He expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by school authorities, teachers, pupils, and supervisors in maintaining the cleanliness of their school compounds and immediate surroundings.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Kumi visited several schools in the Municipality during the first phase of the two-day exercise. He urged all residents to actively participate in the upcoming second phase, emphasizing the importance of collective community involvement. Mr Kumi encouraged traders, businesses, and community groups to join the effort, with the goal of making Hohoe a model of environmental responsibility.
Mr Kumi also recognized the efforts of the Volta North Regional Police Command and sanitation agencies in leading the municipality-wide sanitation exercise. This initiative is part of the government's post-flood recovery effort. He extended his appreciation to the staff of SSNIT Hohoe, Ghana Education Service, Zoomlion, MuSAP, sanitation officers, and all stakeholders whose collective contributions were instrumental in the success of the exercise.
Mr Kumi highlighted the dedication of these institutions to environmental cleanliness and public health, describing their commitment as highly commendable.
