Kadjebi: Reverend Johnson Avuletey, the former Deputy Volta Regional Minister, has called on supporters and sympathisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure the party secures a consecutive third term in the upcoming elections. He emphasized that this would enable the continuation of the NPP's developmental projects, including key pro-poor policies such as the Free Senior High School program and the Agenda 111 Hospital Infrastructure Projects. According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Avuletey made these remarks during the inauguration of the NPP's Akan Constituency Campaign Team in Kadjebi, Oti Region. He highlighted the transformative projects initiated by the NPP, urging the electorate in the Akan and surrounding constituencies to emulate the Hohoe Constituency's recent shift in political allegiance, which has reportedly resulted in significant developmental gains under NPP leadership. Rev. Avuletey criticized the long-standing voting pattern favoring the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta and Oti regions, arguing that it had not yielded the expected developmental projects. He advised voters to reconsider their support and align with the NPP to foster regional growth and prosperity. Adding to the campaign appeals, Mr. Wilson Kwami Agbanyo, the Kadjebi District Chief Executive, highlighted several local development projects undertaken by the NPP government. These include the construction of a regional hospital, a modern court complex, and numerous educational and health facilities. Mr. Agbanyo's remarks underscored the tangible benefits of NPP governance at the district level and reinforced the call for electoral support for the party's candidates, including the presidential hopeful, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the parliamentary candidate, Mr. Mustapha Tassah. Furthermore, Mr. Agbanyo proposed a debate between the NPP and NDC parliamentary candidates for the Akan Constituency. He suggested that such an event would provide a platform for the electorate to assess the capabilities and plans of the candidates, ensuring an informed voting decision on December 7.
