Accra:The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has launched an investigation into claims of extortion by a Customs officer at Accra International Airport.
According to Ghana Web, the investigation was triggered by a social media video posted by TikToker Lady Rev. Adwoa Pretty. In the video, she accused a Customs officer of taking GHS600 from her without providing a receipt.
The GRA acknowledged the video and announced on its Facebook page on October 5, 2026, that it had begun looking into the matter. The organization stated that it had initiated an investigation and would inform the public of the results once concluded.
The GRA emphasized its dedication to integrity, accountability, and professionalism in its operations, reaffirming its commitment to these values in the conduct of its officers.
