Government Set to Introduce Bill for Renaming CKT-UTAS and Other Public Universities

Accra: The government is moving forward with plans to introduce a new bill in Parliament aimed at renaming the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS), along with other public universities nationwide. This announcement was made by Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, during the inauguration of the Governing Councils of CKT-UTAS and Tamale Technical University, which was previously renamed Dr Abdoulaye Salifu Technical University.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Iddrisu highlighted a policy shift under the current administration concerning the naming of public universities.
