Lagos: Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze, has made a bold statement asserting that people don't need to serve or worship God to become rich.
According to Ghana Web, Daddy Freeze made these remarks during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday night. He was reacting to comments made by TikToker Peller at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega's church in the UK. Peller had claimed that despite not praying at night like others, he was blessed by God, which prompted Daddy Freeze to challenge the notion that wealth is tied to religious devotion.
Daddy Freeze argued that wealth doesn't necessarily depend on religious beliefs, questioning why many devout Christians remain among the poorest. He emphasized that connecting worship with material possession overlooks the sacrifices of biblical figures like Stephen. He criticized the belief that praying to God results in financial gain, labeling it as a misguided notion passed down by previous generations.
He further elaborated that wealth is a result of creating value rather than divine intervention. Daddy Freeze pointed out that people can achieve financial success without acknowledging the existence of God, stating, "You can wake up every day and say, I hate God, I hate God, I hate God, and still be rich." This perspective challenges traditional beliefs about the correlation between faith and financial prosperity.
