The Global President of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has reported some strange occurrences following his courtesy call on former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress. Despite not providing details, Dr. Nduom, in a post on Sunday, July 21, 2024, alluded to some occurrences manifesting only after he presented a petition to the opposition flagbearer for the restoration of his bank's operating license. "Since we took our petition to former President and NDC Flagbearer H.E. John Dramani Mahama last Friday, strange things have been happening," he wrote on Facebook. During a courtesy call on former President John Dramani Mahama on Friday, July 19, 2024, Dr. Nduom expressed shock over the Bank of Ghana's decision to revoke GN Bank's operating licenses, noting that he had engaged extensively with the central bank's management and fashioned a process to revitalize the bank. Thus, he found it shocking when the Bank of Ghana turned around and collapsed his bank. In various engagements, Dr. Nduom has maintained that the failure of GN Bank to meet certain obligations to its customers was largely due to amounts owed by the government to contractors who also owed the bank. In a subsequent post alleging strange occurrences, Dr. Nduom accused communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party of using statistics from the Bank of Ghana to push a certain narrative. "An attempt is being made by some NPP communicators and supporters to use some statistics supplied by the BOG to counter the presentation we are making to the public. We expected it. They should pay contractors so they can pay GN Companies," he wrote. Source: Ghana Web
