According to ghana news agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, the elections, held on February 3, 2026, in Ho, saw Dr Glate secure 114 votes (54.03 per cent) to defeat Mr Albert Kweku Bediako, who polled 97 votes (45.97 per cent).
Officials reported that the Vice Chairman, Mr Victor Worlanyo Gbedawo; Secretary, Mr Leonard Agbenyo; Treasurer, Dr Edinam Agbemava; and Organiser, Dr Donne Muddey, all retained their positions after receiving majority 'Yes' votes.
At the national level, TUTAG also elected new officers to steer the affairs of the Association for the next term, with delegates voting across various campuses.
Prof Deodat Emilson Adenutsi emerged National President with 72.51 per cent, a result described by observers as decisive and reflective of broad support.
Dr Frank Kulor won the Local Vice President position with 51.66 per cent, while Dr Francis Fonyee Nutsugah secured 51.18 per cent to become General Secretary.
Mr Daniel Komla Tsorhe was elected National Treasurer, Mr Francois Mahama became National Organiser, and Ms Patience Aku Dedume Glauh-Jeh was elected National Gender Desk Officer, completing the national executive line-up.
In his post-election remarks, Dr Glate pledged 'an all-inclusive leadership for the betterment of the Association' and urged members to 'put all hands-on deck' to advance TUTAG's agenda.
