Conakry: Ghana's Ambassador to Guinea, Mr. Maxwell Awiaga, has commended the Republic of Guinea for their successful general election and subsequent inauguration of the President. At a gathering marking the 69th Independence Anniversary of Ghana, Ambassador Awiaga praised the Guinean government and its people for conducting peaceful elections on December 28, 2026, and the inauguration on January 17, 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ambassador Awiaga also expressed appreciation to Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana's Foreign Affairs Minister, for attending the event. The celebration, which took place in Conakry, was graced by the presence of government officials from the host nation, officials from Ghana's Embassy, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and Ghanaians residing in Guinea.
