Accra: Ghana's Ambassador to Guinea, Mr. Maxwell Awiaga, recently held a meeting with the management team of African World Airline (AWA) in Accra to discuss the airline's new route operations. The discussions focused on the planned commencement of flights on the Accra-Conakry-Accra route, set to begin on August 4, 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, the meeting featured representatives from AWA, including Chief Safety Officer Mr. Lian Liam and the Chief Operations Officer. The purpose of the meeting was to receive suggestions from the ambassador regarding flight times, weekly flight frequency, and the type and size of aircraft to be used. These discussions aim to benefit both the airline and its future passengers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Awiaga received an invitation to join the inaugural flight from Accra to Conakry on the launch date, August 4, 2026.
