GHANAIAN PRESIDENT PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENTIALS TO FIVE NEW AMBASSADORS BEING POSTED OVERSEAS

ACCRA, Fuve new ambassadors-designate have received their Letters of Credence from Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, with a reminder to preserve and promote the image of Ghana whose reputation among the comity of nations is high.

They are Dufie Agyarko Kusi, an experienced international public servant who is to represent Ghana in the Republic of Korea (ROK); Virginia Hesse, a former senior civil servant, who is going to Prague as Ambassador to the Czech Republic; Francisca Ashitey-Odunton, a media practitioner who will be Ghana’s High Commissioner (Ambassadror) to Kenya, Alowe Leo Kabah, a lawyer and politician who is being posed to Benin; and Professor Abena Busia, an internationally acclaimed academic and poet, who will be Ambassador to Brazil.

President Akufo-Addo, said during Wednesday’s ceremony here, said the five had distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour, and that are eminently fit to represent Ghana in their respective places of accreditation, which have expressed satisfaction at their appointments.
