Liati Soba:For the family led by 50-year-old Zimaziwo, living with snakes is a normal part of life. Residing in the village near Mount Afadja in the Volta Region, they have embraced this unique coexistence, turning it into a point of interest for tourists.
According to Ghana Web, the family, often referred to as the 'snake family', has become known for welcoming visitors who are curious about seeing the snakes and learning about them up close. Zimaziwo emphasizes the importance of being cautious around the reptiles, advising specific actions in case of a snake bite, such as tying the affected area with a rope to halt blood circulation and avoiding water and bathing.
Zimaziwo believes that beyond the immediate fascination, the village holds significant potential as a tourist attraction. He hopes that with appropriate support and attention from authorities, the community can be developed into a renowned destination, drawing more visitors from within Ghana and internationally.
