Speaking during a discussion with Empress Gifty on UCook on May 3, 2026, Don Little recounted how his journey in the movie industry began with minor roles that barely got him noticed.
According to Ghana Web, Don Little described how his initial experiences in the movie industry involved playing insignificant roles, such as a passerby, which often didn’t make the final cut of the films. He expressed his frustration, noting that despite his efforts to impress directors by buying gifts, he remained largely unnoticed.
He shared his attempts to gain recognition through skit-making, which initially did not bring him the success he hoped for. A turning point in his career came when he met fellow actor Yaw Dabo, and their collaborations helped him gain attention in the industry.
Despite the newfound recognition, Don Little faced exploitation, with producers paying him based on his height. This payment structure left him undercompensated and sometimes unpaid, prompting him to take a stand against the unfair treatment.
