Ghana TVET Service Assures Food Supply, Stability in Second-Cycle Institutions

Accra: The Ghana TVET Service has assured the public that feeding across Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions is stable, with no disruption to academic activities. Learners continue to receive meals as scheduled, and teaching and learning are proceeding uninterrupted across all institutions.

According to Ghana News Agency, the procurement and management of perishable food items were decentralized to the institutional level and are currently handled by school principals, following operational protocols introduced in the previous year (2025). This change supports timely and context-specific decision-making within institutions.

These details were outlined in a statement signed by Hephzibah N.D Armah, acting Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs and Communications, Ghana TVET Service, and shared with the Ghana News Agency. The statement highlighted that institutional operations are being effectively managed under this framework, with no formal reports of shortages submitted to the Service.

The statement further noted that recent engagements among agencies under the Ministry of Education are part of established inter-agency coordination processes. These processes aim to strengthen collaboration and ensure effective service delivery at the pre-tertiary level.

In its bid to raise standards, the Service continues to engage stakeholders daily to sustain and enhance the quality of operations and management within technical education. The Ghana TVET Service assured its commitment to maintaining high standards in skills training while safeguarding the welfare of all learners.

The Service reaffirmed that TVET institutions remain fully operational, stable, and focused on delivering uninterrupted education.
