Accra: The Director of Human Resources at the Ghana Prison Service has announced a new development in the institution's recruitment process. The ongoing recruitment initiative, which has already completed the body screening and documentation phases, will see its next phase conducted online.
According to Ghana Web, Alhaji Issaku Yahaya, the Director in charge, revealed in a video shared on X that the upcoming aptitude test for all applicants will be conducted online. He emphasized that this method is intended to be stress-free for those participating in the recruitment process. Alhaji Yahaya explained, "There will be an aptitude test, and applicants will be notified of when to take it. This time, as I said, it's going to be online. Nobody will come to sit in a classroom to write a test; it will be conducted online."
The Director further elaborated on the procedure, noting that applicants will receive their questions online and will have a set duration to complete them. He assured that the process would be smooth, with the primary concern being whether applicants are selected or not. Alhaji Yahaya stated, "When you receive your questions, you are given a duration. All you have to do is click and answer. That's it. So it's going to be very smooth and stress-free. The only stress is whether you will be selected or not. Physically, there will be no stress."
When discussing the number of recruits who have completed the body screening and documentation phases, Alhaji Yahaya mentioned that approximately 800 applicants are screened daily at his center. He clarified that while he could not provide the exact total number screened thus far, each center can accommodate up to 400 applicants per session. He noted, "For example, today, during the morning session, we had two centers here, and each center screened 400 applicants. So I can't tell you the total number we have done so far."
