Accra: The Ghana Premier League transfer window is gathering momentum, with several clubs stepping up their recruitment ahead of the 2026/27 season as they look to strengthen their squads.
According to Ghana Web, sports journalist Shaban Mohammed has reported on several deals already completed, while a number of other transfers are at advanced stages, with Hearts of Oak, Debibi United, Swedru All Blacks, and Asante Kotoko among the clubs actively involved in the latest round of negotiations.
Swedru All Blacks have completed the permanent signing of Nations FC defender Michael Abrokwah as they continue to fortify their squad for the new campaign. Meanwhile, Debibi United have been active in the transfer market, securing the services of Medeama SC right-back Victor Oduro on loan. The club has further strengthened by signing former Asante Kotoko, Karela United, and Hohoe United centre-back Maxwell Agyemang. Additionally, Debibi United have reached an agreement with Aduana FC goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah, who has penned a two-year contract with the newly promoted side. Former Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions forward Kwadwo Obeng Jnr has also completed his move to Debibi United.
Concurrently, Hearts of Oak have initiated negotiations with goalkeeper Kwaku Musah, with talks progressing positively and the shot-stopper expected to ink a deal with the Phobians soon. They are also closing in on PAC Academy centre-back Manuel Mantey Gyan, with negotiations between the two clubs moving forward positively. Furthermore, Hearts are making headway in their pursuit of former FC Samartex forward Emmanuel Mamah, with ongoing negotiations described as positive. However, the Phobians have encountered a setback in their pursuit of Mustapha Yakubu, whose proposed move has been intercepted by Heart of Lions, despite the player having trained with Hearts. Yakubu is anticipated to travel to Kpando this weekend to continue talks with Heart of Lions.
Elsewhere, former Heart of Lions left-back Bismark Anim has begun discussions with Asante Kotoko regarding a potential transfer. Anim became a free agent after leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 season. Hohoe United midfielder John Allosodey is expected to join Benin side ASPAC FC on a permanent deal, while Hohoe United right-back Prince Amevor is nearing a move to Dreams FC, with negotiations advancing positively.
As the new season approaches, clubs across the Ghana Premier League continue to intensify their recruitment efforts, with more deals anticipated to be finalized in the coming days.
