Ghana DJ Awards 2026 Scheduled for December 4


Accra: Merqury Republic, the organizers of the Ghana DJ Awards, have announced that the 14th edition of the event will be held on Friday, December 4, 2026. This event is designed to celebrate the contributions and influence of DJs within Ghana and internationally.



According to Ghana Web, the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, which took place at the Palms Convention Center, was marked as the most successful event in the award scheme’s history. The night featured performances from popular Ghanaian acts such as Merqury Quaye, Medikal, Keche, Fameye, DJ Pho, Lali x Lola, and DJ Sonaty. The event also saw appearances from notable icons like Efya, Kofi Adjorlolo, Kafui Danku, Piesie Esther, Dancegod Llloyd, Mark Okraku Mantey, and Okyeame Kwame.



The highlight of the evening was the crowning of DJ Sly King as the DJ of the Year, a notable achievement that has sparked discussions within the DJ fraternity and the broader music industry. The event also recognized legendary figures who have significantly impacted the national DJ landscape. Joy FM’s mid-morning show host, Doreen Andoh, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Kofi Amoakohene was honored with the Special Recognition Award.



The Creative Director at Merqury Republic noted that the 2025 edition is viewed as a precursor to more significant developments in 2026. Merqury Quaye also mentioned that major activities such as the Pub Fest and Ghana DJ Clinic will be expanded in the upcoming year, with additional initiatives planned.
