Cairo:Gamal Gorkeh Nkrumah, unlike some of his family members who were prominent in Ghana's politics, spent much of his professional life outside the public spotlight. He worked predominantly in Cairo, Egypt, as a journalist and editor for Al-Ahram Weekly, an English-language newspaper.

According to Ghana Web, Nkrumah dedicated over 15 years to the publication and eventually became the editor of its international affairs section. In his writings, he addressed a wide array of topics, including US politics under President Donald Trump, the September 11 terrorist attacks, migration issues, and African affairs.

Through his articles, Gamal Nkrumah shared his perspectives on significant political and social issues, often calling for necessary actions. In one notable article dated September 11, 2011, he critically analyzed the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He argued that the United States used the attacks as a pretext for military interventions under the banner of defending democracy and human rights. He also accused American politicians of leveraging the 'War on Terror' for political gain and criticized the US for its historical colonialism and interference in other nations.

Nkrumah further contended that the legacy of 9/11 was the justification of military interventions, citing the Iraq War and the misleading claims about weapons of mass destruction as examples. Through his insightful analysis, Gamal sought to highlight the broader implications of global events and their impact on international relations.
