Nkwanta south: Mr Joshua Makubu, former Oti Regional Minister, has appealed to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect constituency executives who are committed, selfless, and willing to make sacrifices to help the party return to power in the 2028 general elections.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Makubu emphasized that the future of the party hinges on the quality of leaders chosen at the grassroots level. After casting his vote in the ongoing constituency executive elections in Nkwanta South, he highlighted the importance of selecting leaders who demonstrate proven dedication, integrity, and the ability to unify the party, urging delegates to prioritize these qualities over personal interests, friendships, and financial inducements.
Mr Makubu pointed out that the NPP's ability to regain the confidence of Ghanaians is contingent upon unity and the election of leaders who are ready to work diligently for the party's growth. He underlined the significant role played by constituency executives in mobilizing members, strengthening party structures, and preparing for future electoral victories.
He encouraged delegates to meticulously evaluate the track records of all aspirants before making their choices. Additionally, the former minister called on all contestants to uphold peace throughout the electoral process, stressing the importance of internal unity for the party's success.
