Argentinian football superstar and head coach of C.A. Independiente Carlos Tevez has been hospitalised, the club has confirmed.
Independiente, in a statement, stated that the former Manchester United and Manchester City star complained of ‘chest pains’ and was rushed to a hospital in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
The statement further noted that the tests carried out by doctors at the hospital were “satisfactory”, adding that the ex-Juventus striker would be admitted as a precaution.
“Our coach, Carlos Tevez, entered the La Trinidad Sanatorium in San Isidro with chest pain. They carried out the corresponding studies and they were satisfactory. They will continue with a series of exams scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up that is usually carried out,” the club wrote.
“Carlos Tevez will be hospitalized as a precaution until the corresponding studies are completed.”

The 40-year-old began his coaching career a year after retirement, taking up a coaching role at Rosario Central before joining Independiente in 2023.
