Accra:Ghanaian sports journalist Patrick Osei-Agyeman, known as Countryman Songo, is calling on former Black Stars captain Andr© Ayew to take a leading role in revitalizing Ghana football.
According to Ghana Web, Songo emphasizes that Ayew's experience as a former captain of both the Black Stars and Ghana's FIFA U-20 World Cup-winning team uniquely positions him to aid in the sport's development.
Songo suggests that Ayew should consider prioritizing the transformation of Ghana football over his playing career, possibly by leading the Ghana Football Association (GFA). He highlighted Ayew's reputation and leadership as critical assets needed to drive change.
He further noted that stakeholders in Ghanaian football are prepared to support Ayew if he decides to pursue a leadership position, expressing confidence in Ayew's ability to unite and lead local and national football teams to success.
