EPCG Launches 175th Anniversary Hall and Youth Resource Centre in Ho

Accra: The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG) has initiated the construction of its 175th Anniversary Hall and Youth Resource Centre at its headquarters in Ho. Right Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. (Rtd) Bliss Divine Agbeko, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church, led a team of senior church officials to inspect the site, marking the beginning of what is described as the church's most ambitious infrastructure undertaking in recent memory.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Moderator emphasized the project's significance as it transitions from a plan to a tangible development. Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Agbeko highlighted that the facility is envisioned to serve more than just a structural purpose, symbolizing the Church's dedication to nurturing future generations. He described the centre as a 'cradle of excellence,' which will include a 500-seat multi-purpose conference hall, digital media hubs, and vocational training suites.

The planned facility is expected to foster mentorship, Christian education, and professional skills development for both the Church's 10,000 members and the broader Ho community. The Moderator pointed out that the initiative aims to address a gap in youth development and legacy building, standing as a testament to nearly two centuries of the Church's history.

Despite technical consultants ensuring the quality and safety of the project, the Moderator stressed that its completion relies on collective support. He revealed that the Church's leadership has launched an international appeal for financial contributions to ensure the project's timely completion. The Centre is designed with international broadcasting capabilities, aiming to become a hub for global youth leadership and policy development.
