Ellembelle: The New Patriotic Party [NPP] in Ellembelle Constituency has cleared its incumbent Chairman, Sampson Ndoli, popularly known as 'Chairman One Man,' to contest for re-election as Constituency Chairman. Sampson Ndoli was given the green light after vetting took place at Nkroful on Wednesday. Following his clearance, the Ellembelle Chairman picked the number two position on the ballot paper for the upcoming constituency elections.
According to Ghana Web, Sampson Ndoli is being challenged by three others: Jacob Kwofie of Esiama, Iddrisu Ackah of Kangbumli, and Lord Armah of Nzema Aiyinasi. Launching his campaign over the weekend, Sampson Ndoli appealed to delegates to renew his mandate for another four years to continue steering the affairs of the party in Ellembelle. He pledged his commitment to reunite the base of the party by bringing all the losing aspirants together to capture the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the NPP for the first time in the history of Ellembelle parliamentary records.
Ndoli also appealed to the delegates to vote for his allied executive slate to help him capture the seat in 2028. "I believe in hardworking people, and I'm contesting this election with ten other hardworking aspirants, and I will appeal to the delegates to vote for Bernard Cobbinah as Constituency Organiser, Banabas Ewereko as Second Vice Chairman, Sobo Eshun as Communication Officer, Abdul Karim Robert as Nassara Coordinator, Hamza Pennah as Youth Organiser, John Ackah as First Vice Chairman, Evans Tanoel Ackah as Assistant Secretary, Martin Attiah as Secretary, Rahmata Salifu as Women's Organiser, and Philip Nda as Treasurer. These people were strategically selected, and I will appeal to the delegates to elect them," he stated.
Sampson Ndoli took the opportunity to commend the former National Chairman of the NPP and former Ellembelle MP, Freddie Blay; the former Ellembelle NPP Constituency Organiser, Stephen Donkor; and the former Ellembelle NPP Constituency Chairman, Samuel Akainyah, alias Chairman Atito, for their support and guidance in his campaign activities. "With unity, we will win the Ellembelle seat in 2028 and also win the presidential election for Dr Bawumia, so please let us come together to work harder for Dr Bawumia and NPP to come to power in 2028," he added.
Sampson Ndoli first became Ellembelle NPP Constituency Chairman in 2018 after defeating the then Constituency Chairman, Samuel Akainyah, alias Chairman Atito. He is now seeking a fresh mandate to continue leading the party in the constituency.
The Ellembelle Chairman has in recent weeks embarked on a 'Thank You Tour' on behalf of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia across the constituency. During the tour, he urged party members to remain united, stating that 'without unity it will be impossible for us to recapture political power from the NDC in 2028.' Sampson Ndoli also presented donations to the Kangbumli Islamic Community and the Esiama Church of Pentecost, calling for prayers for Dr Bawumia's protection ahead of the 2028 polls.
The NPP is currently undertaking nationwide internal elections. Nominations for Constituency Executive positions were opened from Monday, June 22, to Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with vetting, elections, and swearing-in to follow the July 11 poll. Party delegates in Ellembelle are expected to cast their votes on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
