Accra: The Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Kwabena Boateng, has called for an end to the "No Kennedy Agyapong No Vote" slogans being chanted by some party supporters following the NPP's presidential primaries. He stressed that no party member who has the party's interest at heart should withdraw from party activities simply because their preferred candidate did not win.
According to Ghana Web, Boateng highlighted that Kennedy Agyapong himself has urged his supporters to rally behind the party. He emphasized that it's time for Agyapong's followers to heed his call and continue supporting the party. "We all know Kennedy Agyapong has a strong following in the party, and all these members have to keep working for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the love of the party," he said.
The MP underscored the importance of unity for the NPP's success, noting that the party will face challenges with a divided front. He stated, "The most important thing for the NPP is to come together and win power in the 2028 polls." Boateng urged party members to support Dr Bawumia, asserting that it's time to prioritize the party's interests over individual preferences.
