The competition, held on November 29, 2025, resulted in five schools qualifying for the finals on December 13, 2025. The finalists were Dan Ibu International School, Senior Victory College, FIC St. Louis, Tender Care Preparatory School, and Wa International School. Mr Salih commended the Wa Municipal GNAPS for the initiative, emphasizing its role in encouraging group learning and suggesting the continuation of professional development programmes for teachers in private schools.
Mr Asampana Issaka Agongo, the Upper West Regional Director of the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA), highlighted the importance of private schools as essential partners in Ghana's education system. He remarked on their role in expanding access, maintaining standards, and introducing innovative teaching and learning methods. Mr Agongo lauded the quiz competition as evidence of private schools' dedication to nurturing young minds and fostering an environment of curiosity and innovation.
Mr Sulemana Mumuni, the Wa Municipal Chairperson of GNAPS, explained that the primary goal of the quiz was to assess students' readiness for the BECE and improve performance among member schools. He stressed that the competition aimed to facilitate learning from each other and correct mistakes collaboratively.
Mr Albert Kangou, the Housemaster of FIC St. Louis, praised the quiz competition as a beneficial initiative for both teachers and students, encouraging them to revisit potentially overlooked topics. Senior Victory College emerged as the winner, followed by Tender Care Preparatory School, Dan Ibu International School, and FIC St. Louis Educational Complex, with Wa International School securing fifth place. Prizes included trophies for the top three schools, along with exercise books, textbooks, and certificates.
