Drake’s Memorable First Kiss During Backstreet Boys Song

Toronto: During an interview with Billboard that was published on Wednesday, American band the Backstreet Boys revealed that Canadian rapper Drake previously told them he had his first kiss when one of their songs was playing. Members of the award-winning band include Nick Carter, Howie D, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson. The group touched on the topic when they were reflecting on the moments their children realized their fathers were actually famous.

According to Ghana Web, Richardson disclosed that for his kids, probably the coolest thing that ever happened was during the DNA Tour. He mentioned that during the tour, they made a stop in Toronto, Drake’s hometown. They went to a restaurant, which happened to be Drake’s go-to eatery. Richardson recounted that the ma®tre d’ informed them about Drake’s presence at the restaurant and his desire to meet them.

Richardson shared that the Certified Lover Boy rapper recounted a story about his first kiss, which happened to one of the Backstreet Boys’ songs. This conversation led to Drake assisting them in performing “I Want It That Way” when he joined them on stage at their Toronto concert. Richardson recalled Drake asking if he could join them, which resulted in a memorable collaboration.

During the concert, Drake addressed the audience, explaining the significance of the song to him. He recounted a moment from his bar mitzvah at 13 years old, where he danced with a girl he was in love with while one of the greatest songs in the world played. Drake described it as the first time he felt acknowledged and had a chance at being cool, concluding his story with a light-hearted remark about how the girl would perceive him now.
