Accra: Correspondence from the Eastern Region The Agona Kwanyako Traditional Area in the Central Region is set to witness a historic transformation this weekend as renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Richard Asiedu, is formally installed as the Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of the area.
According to Ghana Web, this chieftaincy title has been established as a permanent stool, ensuring that the title of Nkosuohene will remain within Dr Asiedu's family and lineage in perpetuity. This new development aims to solidify his family's role in the governance and development of the area. Under the stool name Nana Asiedu Keteke I, the installation ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Agona Kwanyako Durbar Grounds.
The elevation of Dr Asiedu is seen as a formal recognition of his lifetime dedication to national and local progress. Known for his contributions in the educational and entrepreneurial sectors, Dr Asiedu has been a pillar of support for the vulnerable.
