Dormaahene Rewards UENR Valedictorian with Saloon Car for Academic Excellence

Sunyani: The Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeayo Agyemang Badu II, has donated a brand-new saloon car to Miss Jennifer Addae, the valedictorian of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) for the 2024/25 academic year. The announcement was made during the university's 10th graduation ceremony, which was held in Sunyani. According to Ghana News Agency, Miss Addae, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.95, distinguishing her as the top student among her peers. The Dormaahene, who serves as the paramount chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area and the Council Chairman of UENR, stated that the car gift would become an annual award for future valedictorians during his tenure. In addition to the car donation, the Dormaahene contributed GH?1 million to support infrastructure development at UENR's Dormaa campus. He emphasized the significance of pursuing excellence, innovation, and sustainability to address real-world challenges. The Dormaahene also hi ghlighted UENR's educational approach, which includes interdisciplinary planning, data-driven engagement, and practical programs to transform ideas into viable solutions.
