Davido Opens Up About His Shift in Lifestyle Choices Post-Marriage

Abuja: Singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared insights into how his lifestyle has transformed since marrying his long-time partner, Chioma Adeleke. In a recent discussion on The Long Form podcast, the Nigerian music star revealed that his priorities have significantly shifted, now favoring family time and personal relaxation over the clubbing scene he once frequented.

According to Ghana Web, Davido elaborated on how his younger years were characterized by frequent club visits, driven by the newfound freedom, power, and wealth that came with his early success. However, the artist now finds greater joy in spending time at home with his family or connecting with his wife via FaceTime during his travels. "Blowing up at a young age with freedom, power, and money, I used to be very reckless. I used to go to the club every day," he shared.

Reflecting on his current lifestyle, Davido mentioned, "These days, I don't even go to the clubs. I was in Nigeria for almost two months, and I didn't go out. I was just at home, and I was having fun. I was just chilling in my studio, and inviting people to make barbecue for me. It was fun. And before you know it, it's 3 am or 4:30 am. I just go home, call my wife, sleep off on FaceTime." This change highlights his newfound appreciation for the simplicity and comfort of home life.

While Davido has shifted away from the nightlife, he clarified that he still attends gigs and accepts party invitations from close friends. Nonetheless, the singer emphasized that he values sleep and family time more than ever. His remarks underscore a personal evolution, marking a departure from his formerly reckless lifestyle to a more balanced approach that prioritizes meaningful connections and personal well-being.
