Kumasi: Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has set his eyes on keeping more clean sheets and helping the club win trophies in the upcoming season. Speaking with 3sports, the experienced shot-stopper says his personal target is closely tied to the team's success, with defensive solidity among his major priorities. "As a goalkeeper, your main task is to keep more clean sheets just to help the team to progress. So for me, my personal achievement is to help the team to get a lot of clean sheets," he said.
According to Ghana Web, Danlad also believes he can contribute beyond his goalkeeping duties, particularly in possession and the team's attacking build-up. "In terms of attack, I'll do my possible best to help the team in terms of possession and attacking movement," he added. The goalkeeper further stressed the ambition within the Asante Kotoko camp, insisting the club must continue to improve while aiming to deliver success for its supporters.
"As a team, Asante Kotoko is a big line; we always want to improve. For me, at least we had one and two more to go. We wish to get both for our fans. That is our target," he added. Danlad's ultimate ambition is to combine individual improvement with team success by keeping more clean sheets and lifting trophies with the Porcupine Warriors. "My target is to get more clean sheets and win trophies with Asante Kotoko," he said.
