Asutifi south: Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South in the Ahafo Region, has commissioned several facilities in the constituency. These projects, initially launched by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in 2016, were facilitated for completion by the collaboration between the MP and the Asutifi South District Assembly.
According to Ghana News Agency, the facilities include a maternity block and nurses' quarters at the Mehame Health Center, along with three-unit classroom blocks at Acherensua and Kwaku Nyuma. These developments had been stalled under the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration but have now been completed and opened for community use.
During separate ceremonies at the beneficiary communities, Alhaji Dauda highlighted that the projects were part of the NDC's 'legacy projects' from 2016. He criticized the prior NPP administration for abandoning these essential projects despite the communities' needs. Alhaji Dauda reaffirmed the government's commitment to advancing these projects, emphasizing the NDC's focus on development as a core principle and pledging support from President John Dramani Mahama for future community enhancements.
Mr. Assabil Donkor, the Asutifi South District Chief Executive, encouraged residents to maintain their trust in the NDC government and to take good care of the new facilities, ensuring their longevity and benefit to the community.
